haven't blogged in ages... guess thats the result of being holed up in exams heh... have my papers pretty spread out this sem but cause i left the studying till pretty late (not any particular fault of mine - primarily cuz i was holed up in the lab ALL the time) :P but well, we managed to isolate our enzyme and i think we got a pretty pure sample soo...woohoo! :D haha.. everyone else i know sorta just stopped and gave up after awhile and decided to factor the fact that they failed in their report but my group persisted right up till the end :P
anyhows, lots has happened since the last post i think... lets see, for the ACC time trials wenny and i came in 3rd, about 2 minutes behind jeremy/jiansheng and the AC kids... hmmm, not sure if we can attribute it to the boat but well, wenny hadn't had much water time prior to that paddle so fitness wasn't really up to mark i guess... the next time trials is in a matter of days (4th dec) and err... haha not sure if i can make it :P i.e. fitness-wise cuz of my own exams haha... oh well, just go and try lah yah? :)
exams has been super draining... the 2 philo papers i took were... oh man, not sure what kinds of words i should be using :P it seemed do-able but as with all philo questions, you always seem to think you're right but hmmm, the prof duzzen think so :P haha dunno lah, just gonna submit that to God and let Him grade me as He pleases :) had my bioinformatics paper today... seemed manageable as well but dunno how well i'll score... hopefully won't do too badly :P people were talking about scoring full marks as i left the exam hall... *sighz* from the looks of it, think i'm sliding down the bell curve once more... but can't stop to think about that now - next up is my most xiong paper... have a THICK stack of notes to MEMORISE... yupz, cell biology... thats all there is to it... not much understanding etc... just plain memory... this on top of the headache that's been accumulated from the papers that i've been taking :P quite bad lah... but oh well... must press on! :)
haii, the one thing i've felt the crappiest about is how much i miss my kids :'( praise God! weida came to know Christ today! :D hai, quite sad i couldn't be there but yupz, really wanna thank God for just how the cell has been growing and even for guiding me to guide them :) think will give training a miss tomorrow (even though this means one session less to prepare for the time trials next sunday) but i really kenot tahan anymore... really really MUST spend time with my kids... will probably go late to watch the girls in their dragonboat race at boat quay but well, heh, they'll probably get into the finals and i'll make it down for that :)
quite proud of them too :) they finished first in their heats today! clocking the third fastest time in their category! :) haha but yah, think they're mad all the same for wanting to race in the middle of their exams :P nmind, keep it up! the guys'll be coming to join you soon... MR500 sounds like a good place to start :P haha...
